Once you have paid your initial £28 or £36 and signed up to your Inclusive Monthly payment plan, your subsequent payments will simply be taken each month. IT’S AS EASY AS THAT! Following the introduction of our very successful INCLUSIVE payment plans and the take up of new members, our most popular classes are filling up extremely quickly!
We understand just how frustrating this is and many members have been requesting a queuing system for some time.
This was always on our ‘roadmap’ but it is a complex process and there are many potential points of failure along the way, including reliable notifications and relying on members to cancel if they cannot attend a class!
WHY ‘BETA’ ?
Simply because this represents a major system change which impacts on many functions and introduces new functions.
The success of the queuing system ultimately depends on you, the members... We want to thank you in advance for ensuring that you cancel bookings as soon as you can when you need to - by doing so, this will enable other members who really want to attend that class to stand a chance of attending. We have a strong community here at Spin Ipswich and by working together we are certain that we can provide all members with the opportunity to achieve their fitness goals!
We will make every effort possible to iron out any bugs as quickly as we can and make improvements along the way.
How it works...
The operation of the queuing system is relatively straight forward:
If a class is not booked to capacity, you will see the normal BOOK or CANCEL button (if you are logged in) and the number of available spaces displayed.
Once a class becomes booked to capacity it will show an orange JOIN QUEUE button.
If a queue is active, the length of the queue is displayed. This should help you decide whether you think it is worth joining the queue...
If you decide to join a queued class, you will then see the CANCEL button and where you are in the queue is displayed i.e. Queuing: 2 of 6
To leave a queue, simply cancel. But remember, if you decide to join it again later you will join at the back of the queue!
Also - if you were originally booked on to a class (not queuing) and choose to cancel and subsequently re-book, you will go to the back of the queue if there is one.
You should refresh the class data frequently when you are logged in to see the current status of bookings/queues.
So to the fun bit..!
When a member who is booked onto the class cancels, the member at Queue Position 1 will automatically become booked onto the class and be notified by SMS and Email. Please add notify (at) spinipswich.co.uk to your mobile contacts to help avoid the email going to spam/junk but the SMS should alert you first.
If, as, and when more members cancel - the next member in the queue gets their place on the class and is notified as above.
Important Facts! Please Read...
In order to give the queuing system the best chance of success we have introduced a few changes. Some of these are experimental at this stage, will be subject to monitoring, and may change with little or no notice.
The success of any queuing system relies entirely on members cancelling classes that they are unable to attend or simply decide that they no longer wish to attend.
The minimum cancellation time before a class starts is 6 Hours. This is to allow for those members who are keen to get onto a specific class and are able to react quickly to being notified.
We understand that there will be concern that if you are Pay As You Go (PAYG) and get automatically booked onto a class because you are next in the queue that you will lose your credit if you then cannot attend.
You should ideally be absolutely sure that you will be able to attend if you decide to queue. By reviewing the MySpin area you will be able to see your queued classes. If you find that you are booked onto a class by the system that you cannot attend, please cancel the booking if you have access to your phone / device.

Why don’t you give us the option to accept/decline the booking? We considered this but if a member does not see the notification or simply does nothing about it - this will block the queue which would make the whole excercise pointless.
We will be monitoring the queuing system and welcome feedback from our members with a view to making improvements.
IMPORTANT UPDATE! When we implemented the queuing system, we reduced the minimum cancellation time to 60 minutes prior to the Class Start Time with this amendment to be closely monitored and reviewed. As a result of this monitoring we are increasing the minimum cancellation time to 3 Hours prior to the Class Start Time. This change will come into effect at midday Saturday 24th February 2018 (2018-02-24 12:00:00)
